MeisterR Sport-Z Coilovers for Mazda MX5 NC (2005-2015) – Monotube Coilovers with 36-Stage Damping

MeisterR Sport-Z coilovers replace the standard dampers and springs on the Mazda MX5 NC (2005-2015) with a height adjustable setup designed for fast road driving and occasional track days, with the focus on ride compliance. Ride height and spring preload adjust independently, so you can set the height without changing how the spring is loaded.

The Sport-Z uses monotube dampers and cold wound steel springs, with 36 stages of damping adjustment so you can quickly set the car up for comfort, spirited driving or a track day. Ride height adjusts from standard to approx. 40mm lower.

Installation

The kit bolts in place of the standard suspension. Set the ride height and spring preload, tighten everything to the correct torque, let the suspension settle, then recheck the height and have a four-wheel alignment carried out. We recommend professional fitting.

Can I adjust the ride height?

Yes. Ride height and spring preload adjust independently, so you can set the height without changing spring preload.

A single adjuster on each damper gives 36 stages, with compression and rebound adjusted together. Start in the middle and adjust in small steps.

Are these suitable for daily driving?

Yes. They are designed with road use in mind and give a compliant ride with sharper handling than standard.

Do I need a wheel alignment after fitting?

Yes. Changing the ride height alters the suspension geometry, so a four-wheel alignment should be carried out once the car has settled.

Can I use damper extension cables?
