YSR Super Low Coilovers for Audi A3 8P (2004-2012) – Extreme Drop of Approx. 80-130mm, Air Suspension Alternative

Yellow Speed Racing Super Low coilovers for the Audi A3 8P (2004-2012). They are built for owners who want a big drop in ride height, and are a far cheaper alternative to air suspension.

Expect a drop of approx. 80mm to 130mm from standard, depending on the car. That is around 20-30mm lower than YSR's Dynamic Pro Sport kit, which lowers most cars by approx. 50-100mm.

Super Low coilovers sharpen handling, but the very low ride height can reduce ride comfort. For safety reasons, YSR do not recommend driving at high speed with the car set low.

What's in the Kit?

• 2 x front coilovers with springs and top mounts (aluminium pillow ball upper mount with camber plate)
• 2 x rear coilovers with springs

Fitment

• Audi A3 8P (2004-2012)
• For cars with 55mm front struts. Also fits Sportback. Fits front-wheel-drive models only. Rear shock and spring are supplied as one assembly.

Not suitable for: models other than front-wheel-drive versions. Please check your model, drive type and strut size before ordering.

Installation

The coilovers replace the standard dampers and springs. Set the ride height and spring preload, let the suspension settle, then recheck the height and have a four-wheel alignment carried out. We recommend professional fitting.

Please note: Pillow ball upper mounts make a small amount of noise. This is normal and does not affect performance or safety. Yellow Speed Racing also offer hardened rubber upper mounts (R/U) for quieter running. At very low ride heights, check wheel, tyre and arch clearance before driving. Super Low coilovers are not recommended for high-speed driving while set to a low ride height. The rear upside-down strut damper adjuster comes with a pillow ball rather than adaptors.

Is this cheaper than air suspension?

Yes. Super Low coilovers give a big drop for a fraction of the cost of an air suspension system.

Will the pillow ball mounts be noisy?

They make a small amount of noise, which is normal. Hardened rubber upper mounts (R/U) are available for quieter running.

Do I need a wheel alignment after fitting?

Yes. Changing the ride height alters the suspension geometry, so a four-wheel alignment should be carried out once the car has settled.

What warranty is included?

Yellow Speed Racing do not offer warranty cover on Super Low kits because of the extreme ride heights they run at. YSR do offer a rebuild service, so contact us if your kit needs attention.
