Yellow Speed Racing Dynamic Pro Sport coilovers for the Mercedes-Benz E-Class W124 (1984-1992). They are designed for enthusiasts who want much sharper handling without giving up comfort, and suit daily driving with occasional light track use. This listing is for the RWD Front Shock & Spring Separate version.

Damping is adjustable through 33 levels, so you can fine-tune the ride for your roads and driving style. Ride height is set by winding the lower bracket up or down, which keeps full suspension travel and damper stroke whatever height you choose. Most cars can be lowered by approx. 50-100mm.

Lower brackets are steel on MacPherson strut cars and forged aluminium on double wishbone cars, with electroplated or anodised finishes. Every application is test fitted and road tested, and a wide range of spare parts is available if anything ever needs replacing.

Fitment

• Fits rear-wheel-drive models only. For 4-, 5- and 6-cylinder models. Also fits convertible. Does not fit pneumatic suspension and estate model. Front shock and spring are supplied separately.

Installation

The coilovers replace the standard dampers and springs. Set the ride height and spring preload, let the suspension settle, then recheck the height and have a four-wheel alignment carried out. We recommend professional fitting.

Please note: Pillow ball upper mounts make a small amount of noise. This is normal and does not affect performance or safety. Yellow Speed Racing also offer hardened rubber upper mounts (R/U) for quieter running.

How low will it go?

Can I adjust the ride height without changing preload?

Yes. Ride height is set by winding the lower bracket up or down, so spring preload and damper travel stay the same.

Yes. Dynamic Pro Sport is designed for daily driving with occasional light track use.

Will the pillow ball mounts be noisy?

They make a small amount of noise, which is normal. Hardened rubber upper mounts (R/U) are available for quieter running.

Do I need a wheel alignment after fitting?

Yes. Changing the ride height alters the suspension geometry, so a four-wheel alignment should be carried out once the car has settled.
