YSR Advanced Pro Plus Tarmac Rally 3-Way Coilovers for BMW M3 E36 (1992-1999) – 3-Way Adjustable Inverted Rally Coilovers with Remote Reservoirs
Yellow Speed Racing Advanced Pro Plus Tarmac Rally 3-Way coilovers for the BMW M3 E36 (1992-1999). They are built for tarmac rally stages and other sealed-surface motorsport. This listing is for the Rear Shock & Spring In One Unit version.
The Advanced Pro Plus uses inverted monotube front struts for MacPherson strut cars, with low-speed compression, high-speed compression and rebound each adjusted independently and full-length ride height adjustment. Remote external reservoirs add oil capacity for consistent damping through long, hard sessions, and are connected by braided hoses through the upper mounts so they can be mounted where they suit the car.
The Tarmac Rally spec is set up for sealed-surface rally stages, with spring rates and valving chosen for that use rather than for road comfort.

Installation
The coilovers replace the standard dampers and springs. Set the ride height and spring preload, let the suspension settle, then recheck the height and have a four-wheel alignment carried out. We recommend professional fitting.
Please note: Pillow ball upper mounts make a small amount of noise. This is normal and does not affect performance or safety. Yellow Speed Racing also offer hardened rubber upper mounts (R/U) for quieter running.

Can I use these on the road?
They are set up for tarmac rally stages rather than road comfort, so expect a firm ride on the road.
What is the difference between Circuit Race, Tarmac Rally and Gravel Rally?
Circuit Race is lowered with stiffer valving for track use. Tarmac Rally is set up for sealed-surface rally stages. Gravel Rally raises the car and uses softer springs, more travel and rally valving for loose surfaces.
How is the damping adjusted?
Low-speed compression, high-speed compression and rebound each have their own adjuster.
Where does the reservoir go?
The remote reservoir connects through the upper mount with a braided hose, so it can be mounted in a suitable place such as the engine bay or boot. The installer is responsible for choosing a safe mounting position.
Will the pillow ball mounts be noisy?
They make a small amount of noise, which is normal. Hardened rubber upper mounts (R/U) are available for quieter running.
Do I need a wheel alignment after fitting?
Yes. Changing the ride height alters the suspension geometry, so a four-wheel alignment should be carried out once the car has settled.
What warranty is included?
Yellow Speed Racing cover Advanced Pro Plus coilovers with a 3 month limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
