YSR Advanced Pro Plus Circuit Race 3-Way Coilovers for BMW 3-Series E30 (1982-1992) – 3-Way Adjustable Inverted Track Coilovers with Remote Reservoirs
Yellow Speed Racing Advanced Pro Plus Circuit Race 3-Way coilovers for the BMW 3-Series E30 (1982-1992). They are built for circuit racing, time attack and track use. This listing is for the 51mm Rear Shock & Spring In One Unit version.
The Advanced Pro Plus uses inverted monotube front struts for MacPherson strut cars, with low-speed compression, high-speed compression and rebound each adjusted independently and full-length ride height adjustment. Remote external reservoirs add oil capacity for consistent damping through long, hard sessions, and are connected by braided hoses through the upper mounts so they can be mounted where they suit the car.
The Circuit Race spec uses stiffer valving for track use. YSR do not recommend it for regular road driving, as ride comfort, noise and vibration are all compromised away from the circuit.

Fitment
- BMW 3-Series E30 (1982-1992) – 51mm Rear Shock & Spring In One Unit
- For cars with 51mm front struts. Rear shock and spring are supplied as one assembly. Welding is required to fit it. (trimming vehicle body is required).
Not suitable for: models or versions not listed above. Other Advanced Pro Plus versions for this car: YSR Advanced Pro Plus Circuit Race 2-Way Coilovers BMW 3-Series E30 82-92 51mm Rear Shock & Spring In One Unit.
Installation
The coilovers replace the standard dampers and springs. Set the ride height and spring preload, let the suspension settle, then recheck the height and have a four-wheel alignment carried out. We recommend professional fitting.
Please note: Pillow ball upper mounts make a small amount of noise. This is normal and does not affect performance or safety. Yellow Speed Racing also offer hardened rubber upper mounts (R/U) for quieter running. The Circuit Race spec is not recommended for regular road use. Welding is required for installation. Some trimming of the vehicle body is required.

Can I use these on the road?
YSR do not recommend the Circuit Race spec for regular road use. The stiffer valving reduces comfort and increases noise and vibration on the road.
What is the difference between Circuit Race, Tarmac Rally and Gravel Rally?
Circuit Race is lowered with stiffer valving for track use. Tarmac Rally is set up for sealed-surface rally stages. Gravel Rally raises the car and uses softer springs, more travel and rally valving for loose surfaces.
How is the damping adjusted?
Low-speed compression, high-speed compression and rebound each have their own adjuster.
Where does the reservoir go?
The remote reservoir connects through the upper mount with a braided hose, so it can be mounted in a suitable place such as the engine bay or boot. The installer is responsible for choosing a safe mounting position.
Will the pillow ball mounts be noisy?
They make a small amount of noise, which is normal. Hardened rubber upper mounts (R/U) are available for quieter running.
Do I need a wheel alignment after fitting?
Yes. Changing the ride height alters the suspension geometry, so a four-wheel alignment should be carried out once the car has settled.
What warranty is included?
Yellow Speed Racing cover Advanced Pro Plus coilovers with a 3 month limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
