Nitron elec-TRON R1 Coilovers for Audi RS3 Saloon 8V Quattro (2013 on) – Electronically Controlled Semi-Active Coilovers
Nitron elec-TRON R1 coilovers for the Audi RS3 Saloon 8V Quattro (2013 on), hand built to order for road and track driving with semi-active damping.
Please note: This kit needs the Nitron DSC Sport Box to work (sold separately).
On the elec-TRON R1 all damping is controlled electronically by the solenoid valve, with no manual adjusters. The kit uses Nitron adjustable top mounts and race springs, giving a wide range of geometry adjustment, and shares its core technology with the R3.
Nitron's elec-TRON proportional solenoid valve gives each damper its own electronically controlled valve, so damping can be adjusted individually at every wheel. The valve works across a 300-1800mA range and moves from full hard to full soft in around 6 to 8 milliseconds, adjusting both compression and rebound by fine-tuning the bleed of the shim stack inside Nitron's gas-pressurised monotube damper.

Installation
The kit replaces the standard dampers and springs. Set the ride height and preload, let the suspension settle, then recheck the height and have a four-wheel alignment carried out. We recommend professional fitting.
All Nitron shocks are hand made to order. Lead times are normally 2-3 weeks, but can be longer at busy times, so contact us for an up-to-date estimate.
Should I choose Fast Road or Track Day spec?
Fast Road Spec uses softer springs for comfort on the road, while Track Day Spec uses stiffer springs for track use. Both are listed under Specifications above. Choose the one that matches how you use the car most.
How is the damping adjusted?
Damping is controlled electronically by the elec-TRON valve. There are no manual adjusters.
Do I need anything else to run this kit?
This kit needs the Nitron DSC Sport Box to work (sold separately).
Can I have different spring rates?
Yes. Every kit is built and sprung to order, so contact us before ordering to discuss your spring rates.
Can the dampers be serviced?
Yes. Nitron dampers are fully serviceable, so they can be rebuilt and refreshed rather than replaced.
Do I need a wheel alignment after fitting?
Yes. Changing the suspension and ride height alters the geometry, so a four-wheel alignment should be carried out once the car has settled.
How long will it take to arrive?
All Nitron shocks are hand made to order. Lead times are normally 2-3 weeks, but contact us for an up-to-date estimate.
What warranty is included?
Nitron products are covered against defects in materials and workmanship. Contact us if you have a problem with your kit.
