Eibach Pro-Street-Multi Coilovers for Audi A1 Sportback 8X (2011-2018) – 35-60 mm Lower, Adjustable Rebound and Compression
This Eibach Pro-Street-Multi kit replaces the standard springs and dampers on the Audi A1 Sportback 8X (2011-2018) with a height-adjustable coilover set. It lowers the car by approx. 35-60 mm, which sharpens the steering, cuts body roll and closes up the wheel arch gap. The front ride height is set on threaded coilover struts, and the rear has its own height-adjustable spring seat, so each end can be set independently.
Pro-Street-Multi is the most adjustable kit in the Pro-Street family. It pairs ZF Sachs monotube gas dampers with Eibach performance springs, and both rebound and compression damping can be adjusted separately, even with the kit fitted. That lets you run it softer for everyday driving and firmer for a track day without taking anything off the car.
Eibach makes more than one kit for the Audi A1 Sportback 8X. This one is for 1.0 TFSI, 1.2 TFSI, 1.4 TDI, 1.4 TFSI, 1.4 TSI, 1.6 TDI and more with 1000kg front and 880kg rear max axle load. Check the Fitment section below before ordering.

Fitment
- Audi A1 Sportback 8X (2011-2018)
- Engines: 1.0 TFSI, 1.2 TFSI, 1.4 TDI, 1.4 TFSI, 1.4 TSI, 1.6 TDI, 1.8 TFSI, 2.0 TDI
- Can be fitted to cars with factory electronic damper control - see Installation
Not suitable for: cars with self-levelling suspension or 4WD models. The Audi A1 8X needs its own kit, such as the Eibach Pro-Street-Multi Coilovers Audi A1 8X 10-18.
Installation
Fitting means removing the original struts, springs and dampers and fitting the Eibach units in their place. We recommend a qualified workshop. A spring compressor is needed to strip down the original front struts. Set the ride height with the wheels off the ground, never use an impact gun on the damper piston rod nut, and torque everything to the manufacturer's figures. A four-wheel alignment is required once the car is at its final ride height. Re-check the height and alignment after the first few hundred miles, once the springs have settled.
Before you start:
- Some fitments need extra original manufacturer parts to complete the installation. Check the fitting instructions for your car before booking the work in.
- If the car has factory electronic damper control, it will store a fault code once the kit is fitted and the adaptive damping will no longer work. A dealer or specialist can clear the code, or fit the matching Eibach Pro-Tronic kit to stop it appearing.
Upgrade Further
Stop the damper fault message with the Eibach Pro-Tronic EDC Cancellation Kit Audi A1 Sportback 8X S1 14-18.
Will this fit my Audi A1 Sportback 8X?
It fits the Audi A1 Sportback 8X (2011-2018) with 1.0 TFSI, 1.2 TFSI, 1.4 TDI, 1.4 TFSI, 1.4 TSI, 1.6 TDI and more. Check the Fitment section for the exclusions, or use our number plate lookup.
How low will it sit?
Eibach quotes approx. 35-60 mm lower than standard. The exact drop varies from car to car with engine, equipment and tolerances.
Can I adjust the damping?
Yes. Rebound and compression are adjusted separately and can be changed with the kit fitted, so you can set it up for the road or the track.
My car has adaptive dampers - will that cause a problem?
The adaptive damping no longer works once the coilovers are fitted, and the car will log a fault. The matching Eibach Pro-Tronic kit stops that fault message appearing.
Do I need an alignment after fitting?
Yes. Eibach requires a full four-wheel alignment once the car is set at its final ride height, and another check after the springs have settled.
Is it road legal in the UK?
Yes. It comes with a TÜV components certificate. Keep the ride height within Eibach's quoted range and tell your insurer about the modification.
Is it covered by a warranty?
Yes, Eibach covers it against defects in materials and workmanship. If a part ever needs replacing, contact us with your vehicle details and order number.
