Description
Bilstein B12 Pro-Lift Kit for Jeep Wrangler JL (2018 onwards) – Raised Ride Height and Extra Ground Clearance
The Bilstein B12 Pro-Lift Kit raises the Jeep Wrangler JL above its standard ride height. It replaces the factory dampers and springs with Bilstein dampers and matched Eibach lift springs, adding ground clearance for rough tracks, tow-hitch use or simply a more rugged look.
Because the dampers are matched to the taller springs, the car keeps proper damping control instead of feeling floaty, as it would with spacers or lift springs alone. The kit is developed for this car and fits in place of the factory parts.
Performance
- Ride height: Raises the car (see Performance)
- Damping: Fixed, tuned for this car
- Damper design: Monotube gas-pressure
Ride-height figures are Bilstein's application data for this part number, measured against the car's standard ride height. The actual change depends on the car's engine, equipment and the condition of the parts being replaced.
Key Features

Not suitable for: other versions of this car, which have their own Bilstein B12 Pro-Lift Kit part numbers: Jeep Wrangler 2.0 2.2 Multijet 3.0 CRD JL 18+; cars with factory electronic damping or self-levelling suspension unless stated above; other generations, body styles or drivetrains not listed above.
Installation
Fitting replaces the dampers and springs at all four corners. Where the car has front struts, they must be dismantled with spring compressors to swap the springs. Check the top mounts, bearings and bump stops while everything is apart and replace any that are worn. Because the car sits higher, a four-wheel alignment is essential after fitting, and the headlight aim should be checked. We recommend professional fitting.
Will this fit every Jeep Wrangler JL?
No. Bilstein makes separate kits for different versions of this car, split by body style, drivetrain, engine or axle load. This one is for the Jeep Wrangler JL (2018 onwards). Check the Fitment section and the Not suitable for line, and contact us with your registration if you're unsure.
How much will it raise my car?
Bilstein doesn't list an exact lift figure for this part in our data. Contact us and we'll check the figure for your car.
Can I fit this to a car with electronic or adaptive dampers?
This kit uses conventional dampers. If your car has factory electronic damping, check the Fitment notes above, as Bilstein makes separate DampTronic and EVO SE kits for many of these cars.
Do I need a wheel alignment after fitting?
Yes. Changing the ride height changes the suspension geometry, so a four-wheel alignment is needed after fitting. Let the springs settle for a few hundred miles first.
Is it road legal in the UK?
Yes, this kit is designed for road use. As with any suspension modification, you should tell your insurer once it has been fitted.
What type of dampers does it use?
Monotube gas-pressure, according to Bilstein's data for this part number. Gas-pressure dampers resist fading when they get hot during hard driving.
Is there a warranty?
Yes. Bilstein suspension is covered against defects in materials and workmanship. Contact us with your order number if you have any problem.
Do I need new top mounts?
They are not included. If your existing top mounts, bearings or bump stops are worn, replace them while the suspension is apart, as worn mounts can cause knocks and affect the alignment.
